Growing up in
California, in a politically aware household imbued with strong humanistic
beliefs, Nancy Doran came of age in the turbulent Sixties. This set the tone for
the strong social statements inherent in her work.
She was educated at The
California Institute of the Arts and Loyola Marymount University. After winning numerous awards and commissions for her stunning visual representations, Nancy Doran came to Italy to interpret her vision in white Carrara Marble.
In an accomplishment that is rare for an American, Nancy Doran's work has been featured in several important museum shows throughout Italy.
